Mr. John Rizzo Jr., age 80, of Newport, passed away, Wednesday morning, January 3, 2024 at his home. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 42 years, Wanda Rizzo and parents John and Ruth Rizzo. Survivors include his daughters Connie Richards and Melissa Richards (Robert) Dean both of Newport; granddaughters Shanda (Josh) York of Knoxville, Brooke Wilson of Newbern, TN, Cyndal (Chris) Hayes, Leslie (Phillip) Bugg and Kirsten Overholt all of Newport; 3 great-granddaughters and 5 great-grandsons. Additional survivors include a host of family, friends and his beloved fur son Ross. The family will host a Celebration of Life Service at a later date. Uncle John was a very special man, he was always very kind and generous with his family, he loved with all his heart and it was a big one, I know he’s happy to be with Aunt Wanda again, we are losing too many family members, it’s heartbreaking, love to all the family , especially Cousins Connie and Melissa❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏

John was one of my very favorite customers during my banking days.. I loved when he and Wanda came through the door...a breath of fresh air... they were so nice to me..loved em both... gentleman he was..may God comfort all the family with warm memories..
